A 19th Century iron cannon mounted on its original wooden carriage. The barrel is approx 4' long and is marked on the breech FALKIRK 2PR( 2 Pounder). The cannon barrel has been painted silver and appears to be in good order underneath the paint. The carriage is in quite good overall condition although weathered and there is minor perishing the wheels.This type of cannon was manufactured by the Carron Company of Falkirk and it was known as a Carronade.

A Portugeuse military flintlock cavalry carbine of the type supplied by the British Goverment.A very clean example, the lock plate marked with the Portugeuse crown over what appears to be JR & the tail marked Braga & dated 1801.The barrel and butt plate are engraved with regimental marking. The 51cm round barrel is fitted with a swivel ram-rod and the stock is fitted with a saddle bar. This is a nice untouched example of these seldom seen Portuguese military guns.
