An early 19th Century Officers Sidearm, possibly Russian in origin. The sidearm with cast brass hilt, the pommel in the form of an eagles head, the grip formed as feathers and the crossguard terminals as clenched talons.the sidearms has a 48cm double edged blade and a leather scabbard(slight shrinkage) with finely engraved brass mounts, the frog stud on the throat mount is embossed with an eagles talons.
